This is an album, that I put together, which was presented to the WMJX staff members and management who participated
in our MAGIC of Ireland Broadcast from Ireland on Saint Patrick's Day, March 17, 1989.
An annual event at WMJX for a few years in the late 1980's
A one week stay in Ireland that culminated with our "Morning Drive" broadcast, actually afternoon in Dublin.
The broadcast originated from the RTE Radio studios in Dublin. Some interviews were previously recorded at RTE
Regional Studios throughout the country, other were routed directly to Dublin for a LIVE remote segment in our broadcast.
RTE is Ireland's national broadcasting service, headquarted in Dublin.
The broadcast was LIVE from Dublin. with cut-aways from Boston for traffic, weather and Boston news. An RTE Presenter
provided our listeners with "local" hourly newscasts.
Quite an undertaking for a local FM station.
This brings back fond memories for me.
